Week # 7 - Wikis
Wikis I found is about collaboration between people - such as teachers and librarians for example who share ideas and information and then make it possible for others to learn from it...On wikis it is possible for others to share information or edit information ... Also it is a quick reference guide for people who are looking for information...I went on Book lovers Wiki and was able to look up books quickly with regard to the topic - I chose 'gardening'...Here I go with he outdoor bug, reptile, plant theme again!!! Anyway, it looks like a great reference tool for students, educators, librarians or researchers....I also liked that teachers can use it to work with their students on the class for the school year. Sharing ideas and working on projects and being able to use this tool is fantastic! Students can blog back and forth, share information and contact the teacher regarding the class. When you can't get together as a group, a teacher's wiki for the class is a great idea!

I think Wikis are just beginning to get popular. As more people use them in schools and begin to experiment more ideas for their use will surface!
Don't forget to post about online grading - Excel vs. MyGradeBook or another one. .
Have a good weekend
